Qinglian is the hometown of the poet Li Bai. The most important factor in the design is how the building embodies Li Bai's spirit. It takes only half a year from design to completion. Any satisfaction such as completing the project within this short period of time is also an important factor in the design. The design was inspired by a poem by Li Bai, using an extremely concise box as the main the building and a low flowing water volume as the front hall and auxiliary rooms of the building, forming the architectural image of "water and stone". The façade of the building is made of weak reflective mirror aluminum plate, which makes the building and the environment completely integrated. The building presents a simple, romantic and magnificent to echo the mood of Li Bai's poetry.
